MODELING METHODS OF POPULATION ADAPTATION SYSTEMS

Traditionally, models of population adaptation represent a fairly broad field of research related to the analysis and description of social, economic, political, climatic and other processes that occur in society. The current article examines the issues of methods of modeling the population adaptation systems from the point of view of the system approach. The topic under study can be considered relevant due to the classification of objects by characteristic features as well as their analysis principally serve the purpose of obtaining a means for knowing and predicting the development of complex objects. The author demonstrates certain heuristic possibilities of using conceptual fractal models in socioeconomic knowledge. The purpose of this article is an applied representation of the principles of nonlinear dynamics (synergetics) in the aspect of adaptation of population, a modern method of cognition of dynamic processes that arose as a result of the instability of social, economic, political, and other processes of modern life. The aim of the current article is to study the problems of attracting young people towards science. URBAN POPULATION’S PERCEPTION OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT REFORM

The article analyzes the study of public opinion on the modernization of the system of collection, removal and disposal of municipal solid waste in the urban district “Gorod Belgorod” that was conducted in 2019. The authors assess the work on informing the population about the ongoing changes, analyze the main problems that prevent the engagement of the residents in waste sorting as well as formulate recommendations for finding the solutions to these issues. According to the results of the study, the first place in the list of key issues in implementing the “waste” reform in Belgorod is the lack of tangible results felt by the average person with the exception of raising the tariff for the export of municipal solid waste.

“TWO CLICKS – HOW DIFFICULT IT IS” OR THE ENTRY INTO THE WORLD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR THE OLDER GENERATION

The relevance and aim of the research There is a need to focus socio-gerontological issues on the inclusion of members of the older generation in the digital space. The quality of life and social well-being of the older generation directly depends on the degree of adaptation to the new technological reality, the Internet of things. The study aims to analyze the role of information technology in the lives of the elderly.

Materials and methods. The study utilized a questionnaire and a qualitative survey essay. An empirical study among older people was conducted from 2016 to 2019 in Ulan-Ude (n = 214) among the students of computer literacy courses operating at the D. Banzarov Buryat State University.

Results. This study was aimed at determining the role of information technologies in improving the social well-being of elderly citizens. Based on the results of the survey, the study compiled a social portrait of the respondents. These are mostly women aged 60-69 with higher education that have children and live alone.

Conclusion. Older people entering into the world of information technology contributes to their involvement in an active, productive social life and their integration into the information society. Learning information technology becomes the most important prerequisite for social and psychological comfort and improvement of the social well-being of older people.

ON THE OPERATIONS OF THE NATIONAL CARDIOLOGY HEALTH CENTER

The article presents an analysis of statistical data on the work of the Republican cardiology health center, a structural division of the State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) “National Hospital No. 1 National Center of Medicine” and summarizes the experience of its operation for 2014-2018. The patients and doctors are fully aware of the positive dynamics of the health center noting such items as organizational and methodological guidance and activities under the “State Guarantee Program for Providing Free Medical Care to the Population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)”. The analysis is necessary to justify the medical and organizational improvement of the delivery of medical services to the patients with cardiovascular diseases.

PROBLEMS OF RUSSIAN HIGHER EDUCATION DURING QUARANTINE (ON THE BASIS OF UNIVERSITIES IN PRIMORSKY KRAI)

The article presents the problems and difficulties of Russian students from four Primorsky Krai universities in the transition to distance learning due to the new COVID-19 pandemic. All messages were marked up by relevance of the studied topic based on pre-uploaded messages using specialized software (Polyanalyst, machine learning libraries) from the communities of higher education institutions in the region, which allowed for further systematization of messages by topic and tone. The topics of the messages included such categories as organizational and methodological issues, social and financial issues, well-being and personal qualities, etc. In terms of the tone of the messages, the study identified negative, neutral, and positive tones. Lemmatization of words in messages allowed for determining the top 150 words.

Based on the analysis of the content and tone of the messages from students of higher education institutions on social networking platforms, the study identified main difficulties and problems that students faced in the transition to remote interaction in the educational process under quarantine.

WORKING WITH OPEN DATA SOURCES FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH PURPOSES VIA STUDENT FEEDBACK ON THE TRANSITION TO DISTANCE LEARNING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Open data is a repository of information about many aspects of life, which makes it valuable for conducting sociological research, including the kind that is related to subjective assessments.

This article discusses the methodology for conducting a study on the reaction of students to the transition to distance learning during the initial period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The study was conducted by a community of scientists from the University of the Big Data Research Consortium.

The research was based on the analysis of statements on the social network VK made by users during the transition of educational institutions to distance learning in March 2020 at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. The study included uploading and analyzing messages from social network posts.

The research was divided into three stages: the preparatory stage, where the selection of subjects with data that meet the requirements for big data and are relevant to the research topic as well as data uploading and its preliminary analysis were made; the analysis stage, where the statements were analyzed in accordance with the developed indicators; the stage of preparation of the final report, where the messages of students from 309 Russian universities in 80 regions were analyzed. The stage also involved determining the emotional tone of messages, identifying the main problems of switching to distance learning, and compared the situations in different regions.

INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF SOCIALLY ORIENTED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: FEATURES OF THE FAR EASTERN REGIONS

The article examines the features of the institutionalization of socially oriented non-profit organizations in socio-economic development. It is shown that with the institutional approach, socially oriented non-profit organizations act as a concentrated expression of civic initiatives. Based on the analysis of the current state of research in the field of the non-profit sector, the need was revealed to generalize the existing regional experience, including the regions of the Far East. An assessment of the social role of NGOs’ NGOs in the Far Eastern regions of Russia is given. Based on statistical information, an analysis of SO NPOs in the regions of the Far East is presented. The author’s indicators of measuring the process of institutionalization of SO NPOs at the regional level are proposed. It is shown that the main instrument that contributes to institutionalization is the model of interaction between SO NPOs and state authorities in the direction of the development of social services by the SO NPO sector.

THE ROLE OF SOCIAL SERVICES IN PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The article examines the concept of “domestic violence” in detail and reveals its aspects. The study explores the main causes of family violence and its forms. The research includes an analysis of statistical data on the facts of domestic violence and describes in detail the negative consequences of domestic violence that affect the formation of a child’s personality. The study pays particular attention to the role of social services in prevention of domestic violence as well as to the main forms and methods that can be applied. The article presents the results of a survey of specialists of a specific social service, which made it possible to identify the difficulties in providing social services for the victims of family violence. Additionally, the study offers recommendations for the prevention of domestic violence.

NATIVE (MANSI) LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY AS A SOCIOLINGUISTIC PROBLEM

This article centers on identifying the level of language proficiency among the indigenous population of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. The purpose of this paper is to determine the level of language proficiency among the Mansi people on the basis of a sociological survey, and to identify the reasons for the disappearance of the language. The paper describes the work on the preservation and development of the native language and provides the information on the achieved results. The targets of this research are the characteristics of language skills from the point of view of sociolinguistics. The topical nature of the research can be attributed to the need of the Russian public for the conservation and development of the national cultural heritage, the profound changes associated with the transition to a new type of culture, a significant intensification of the current interest in the prospects of formation and modeling of cultural landscape, and improvement of its socio-cultural components. With respect to the results and the novelty of the research, the study adds to the current scientific knowledge about the number of Mansi population and their level of language proficiency while also revealing some patterns and features of its phonation.
