The article contains the definitions of concepts of “Internet communication,” “communication,” “Internet.” The vision of the Internet as a communication channel is presented. Popular website, YouTube, is considered as a communication channel in the Internet environment. Study of YouTube’s performance is conducted, which includes defining competitiveness factors and comparing YouTube with the traditional communication channel, TV. The results of the study showed that in the near future, a large number of advertisers will transfer their business models to the online media environment, thereby generating new business models that enhance the competitiveness of all business entities.

EMPLOYMENT OF RURAL POPULATION OF YAKUTIA IN INFORMAL SECTOR

The object of the research is the employment of the rural population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the informal sector of the economy. The analysis was based on statistical data for the end of 2012–2017, as well as the results of the two All-Russian Agricultural Censuses for 2006 and 2016. The analysis of the informal sector of the rural population, comparative analysis of the number of employees of organizations (farms), the dynamics of changes in the level of employment in the informal sector are conducted. It is revealed that more than 94% of workers are employed in the informal sector in the agriculture of the republic.

FOOD INDEPENDENCE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF THE ANTI-RUSSIAN SANCTIONS: DYNAMICS OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION

The purpose of this article is to study the state of the domestic agricultural sector after the introduction of economic sanctions in 2014, the so-called food embargo – a ban on the import to Russia of certain types of products, raw materials, and agricultural products from countries that imposed sanctions against Russia. To achieve this goal, we analyzed the indicators of total agricultural production and some categories of agricultural products at actual and comparable prices in the dynamics over some years; the dynamics of the level of consumption for certain types of products indicated in the 2010 Russian food safety doctrine is presented. The indicators of food independence are calculated for the same types of products, as well as the overall level of food independence, which is proposed to be considered as an indicator of the effectiveness of the policy of import substitution. By the data presented, a conclusion is made about the positive dynamics of the Russian agricultural industry development.

ON THE APPLICATION OF CUMULANT ANALYSIS TO STUDY OF DEGREE OF STOCK MARKET PRICE EFFECTIVENESS

The work describes the method of testing the hypothesis of the stock market price efficiency by means of analyzing the properties of the distribution function of the historical return on equity. A sign of the violation of a strong (and, perhaps, moderate) form of price efficiency is the asymmetry of the distribution of return identified by calculating its third cumulant. The application of the method to the analysis of the statistical characteristics of fluctuations in the RTS Index has shown them to be noticeably non-Gaussian, which indicates the significant role of factors hindering price efficiency of the Russian stock market.

The article considers the influence of the globalization process on the development of the world system. A comprehensive review of the leading researcher’s opinions on different scientific trends and historical periods was made. The phenomenon of globalization, which originally arose in the economic field, gradually spread to all spheres of human life (political, social and spiritual) during the process of development of the world community. The author comes to the conclusion that the globalization of the neoliberal variant, imposed on the world by the transnational oligarchy, based on the principles of market fundamentalism and the desire to extract superprofits, pose a serious threat to modern society, contributing to the growth of unemployment and poverty, exacerbating the ecological situation and introducing a primitive standardization into culture. According to the author, the modern world is in a transition period the era of uncertainty. Accordingly, the question is raised about the search for a viable ideological alternative necessary to achieve even development and social justice.

ASSESSMENT OF SUSTAINABILITY OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN REGION ON BASIS OF FIVE-LEVELS FUZZY [0,1]-CLASSIFIERS

This study aims to develop a methodology for assessing the sustainability of agricultural production in the region on the basis of factors of two groups: economic and environmental. The objective of the study is to develop methods that allow the formation of a comprehensive assessment of the sustainability of agricultural production in the region on the basis of standard multilevel fuzzy [0,1] – classifiers by aggregating estimates on a set of heterogeneous indicators. Aggregation is performed on the basis of time series of numerical values of heterogeneous indicators, reflecting both the level and the growth rates of indicators for the periods under study; it allows not only to give numerical estimates of the intensity of agricultural production and the degree of its impact on the ecology of the region, but also to indicate the most problematic areas of development of the agro-industrial complex of the region, and also to rank the regions on the basis of the estimates constructed.
