PROPYLENE OXIDE AS OXEGENATE ADDITIVE FOR MOTOR GASOLINE

The article discusses the prospects of the use of oxygenates in motor gasoline. It is proposed to use cyclic ether (propylene oxide) as an oxygenate additive to motor gasoline. The main directions of the use of propylene oxide at the present stage are considered in the article. Its maximum content in gasoline is defined according to regulations. The effect of propylene oxide on the power of the engine is studied, as well as on the indicators of gasoline volatility – the pressure of saturated vapor and fractional composition, which should be considered during actual use of such a composition.

ON THE RELATIVISTIC INVARIANCE OF THE CONTINUITY EQUATION IN QUANTUM MECHANICS OF THE PHOTON

The article provides an explicit form of the wave function of a free photon in the coordinate and momentum representations. The difference of the constructed photon wave function in the momentum representation, from its variants that used in the literature, is discussed. It is stated that the concept of the wave train, referred to the photon coordinate wave function, is more correct in describing interference than the analogous concept of classical electrodynamics. This allows to considerably mitigate the problem of wave-particle duality of light.

DESIGN AND DETERMINATION OF THE WORKING SURFACE PARAMETERS OF SPRING-TONGUE DIRECTING FOR NARROW BAND SAW

Research objects are band saws for cutting lumber. Purpose is to create spring-tongue directing rails for narrow band saws. The result was a design spring-tongue directing for narrow band saws, increasing their service life and improves the quality of lumber. The study was carried out theoretical calculation values of lift depending on various conditions of directing. As a result, it was determined that the directing structure for narrow band saws ensures proper operation under selected conditions. It determined that this design ensures proper operation of the guide at the selected conditions. In this paper conducted research the influence of squeezing guides on the main technical and operational parameters: sawing accuracy, lumber quality, durability of band saws.

CHANGES IN FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY OF RAT THYROID FOLLICULAR CELLS AFTER LOW-DOSE EXPOSURE TO DDT IN POSTNATAL DEVELOPMENT

Thyroid follicular cells function after long-term exposure to low doses of dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) during postnatal development was studied. Evaluation of thyroid hormone profile, immunohistochemical examination and serum quantification of proteins mediating iodine supply and organification in thyroid cells showed that DDT-induced hypothyreosis is caused by downregulation of sodium-iodide symporter first in peripheral and than in central parts of thyroid lobes in puberty followed by enhanced expression of thyroid peroxidase and its further downregulation.

THE EFFECT OF CUTTING FLUID AND GRADE OF ABRASIVE WHEEL ON G-RATIO AND SURFACE ROUGHNESS IN PROCESSING OF TITANIUM ALLOY

The research shows an effect of water-based cutting fluid and grade of highly porous abrasive instrument on surface roughness, wheel wear and G-ratio of titanium alloy. The result of research shows the relations between changing parameters in grinding by wheels with “G” and ”I” grades. The greatest impact of the grade of abrasive wheel on G-ratio and Ra was observed in processing at heavier modes with cutting fluid, which has lower lubricating effect. The cutting fluid has the greatest impact in grinding by soft wheels at heavier modes. The wheel with “I” grade and water-based cutting fluid with trisodium phosphate Na3PO4 additive are recommended for grinding with minimal wheel wear, minimal surface roughness and absence of surface burnings at considered conditions.

STUDY OF THE BLOW EVENLY STRETCHED PLATE LYING ON THE BASE

The total displacement of the plate is considered elastic, and local to the contact is elastic-plastic. When calculating the main characteristics of the impact (force of contact interaction, its maximum, the moment of achievement, duration of impact, coefficient of restitution at impact) important is the consideration of the initial impact velocity, the magnitude of the external influences on the body and the plate, the state of material bodies. the analysis of the dynamic function of the influence of the «plate – base». The collision is considered in the framework of the theory of S. P. Timoshenko, which neglect wave processes in a small area of contact. The solution of the quasistatic contact problems for elastoplastic bodies, which are in good agreement with numerical and empirical results. For large local plastic deformations can be neglected elasticity of the material in the contact area, use the solution to rigid-plastic contact problem and to investigate rigid-plastic collision. The asymptotic results are in good agreement with analytical and numerical solutions to the problem of hitting the half-space and an endless plate and can be recommended for engineering calculations.

The article discusses the prospects of the micro-hybrid gypsum composites with polypropylene and basalt fibers. The analysis of the impact of selected fibers on the properties of of gypsum plaster. Full central orthogonal two-factor experiment with a change of each factor on the three levels have been carried out. Analysis of the results was carried out using the software package «STATISTICA». The introduction multimodulus possible to increase the strength fiber gypsum composite compression more than 2 times, tensile bending by 70% compared to the control composition.

RESEARCH OF THE NATURAL OSCILLATIONS OF THE ROTOR STEAM COMPRESSOR UNIT

The importance of the study of the “rotor-housing” system dynamics is caused by its strong influence on the vibrational state of the gas turbine engine. Knowledge of the dynamic properties of complex products is required at all stages of development and design.
Therefore, the purpose of research, contained in this article is to carry out modal analysis steam compressor unit rotor, taking into account the gyroscopic effect.
The first part describes the creation of a three-dimensional finite element model of the rotor. At the same time, the three-dimensional solid models of parts built in the NX8.5 software for nominal size was used as a input data. Props was considered stiff.
The second part presents studies of the natural oscillations spectrum of the rotor steam compressor unit using the developed FEM. The problem was solved by the use of a supercomputer, “Sergei Korolyov”.
